Introduction
This page explains how Binaax uses cookies and similar technologies on binaax.app. We try to keep the cookie footprint small — we don't run ad networks or third-party tracking pixels.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember things about your visit (you stay logged in, your preferences persist) and help us understand which features people use.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These are required for the Service to work. You can't turn them off without breaking sign-in or your shopping cart.
- Clerk session cookies — keep you signed in. Set by our authentication provider.
- Cart cookies on generated sites — when your generated storefront has a cart, we use a cookie to remember items across pages.
- Admin session cookies — keep site owners signed in to their site's admin area at
/admin.
Functional
These improve your experience but the site works without them.
- UI preferences — remember the dashboard layout, the customize-panel state, etc. Stored in
localStoragerather than cookies. - Onboarding completion — remember when you've finished the new-project tour so we don't show it again.
Analytics & advertising
We don't run third-party analytics or ad cookies. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no third-party trackers.
Cookies on published sites
Sites you publish through Binaax may set their own cookies (cart, admin auth, future analytics you choose to add). Those cookies are governed by your own published site's policy, not this one.
Managing cookies
Changes
If our cookie practices change materially, we'll update this page and bump the “Updated” date.
